tanking questions

Hi , am about to tile a shower cubicle and am aware this area should be waterproofed . As far as i know there is a form of ruberised paint in the tanking kit , I hear this is easy to peal off so does it hold the weight of the tiles ?? Also can i tank just the first sq metre above the shower tray or does the whole cubicle need doing ? any advice would be really appreciated, thanks

hi pw,if you buy the kit and apply the primer 1st as well the kit will be fine it will hold the tiles no probs

yes i would advise tanking the whole shower cube just doing the 1st metre high will allow the upper part to be at risk
