Hi Fad,
if it was me i'd steer away from basic plasterboard in shower areas, look at using cement board (aqua panel or hardi backer)... I've used the Homelux tanking membranes with no problems or come backs and you can tile straight away, just remember to install them with the proper gear, follow the instructions.

sorry Fad:) the backer board goes onto the battens just like the plasterboard (with the correct screws) usually you'd tape and seal the joints with adhesive.. The membrane comes on a roll 1m wide, measure and cut.. apply addy to wall using a 3mm notched trowel, apply membrane (like wallpaper) use flat edge of trowel (or grout float) and bed membrane into addy removing excess addy and air as you go, membrane tape sold seperately is applied the same way over the joints in boards or where membranes meet....then tile away:)
