We will usually quote rather than estimate. Some traders give estimates and in many cases this is legitimate but be careful, a quote has some legal weight, an estimate does not.

Yeah we tend to find most will provide estimates which covers your back side a bit when you notice after ripping out that actually, a lot more work needs to be done.

I'd only ever quote for splashbacks and whatnot personally (obviously I don't tile now though).
