A customer I refurbed a bathroom for 2 years ago has asked me to refurb their wet room in the basement. By an 5th Jan. Its a complete rip out and start again job, but I though it would be good to share the photos of the old installation with you.

This was part of a refurbishment in a Victorian house that won an award (Job of the Year or something) in a glossy renovation magazine a few years ago. One day I will post the pics from the shower room on the top floor - it leaked so bad the shower started to come through the ceiling of the floor below - they didn't want that refurbed (yet). :whistling:

I am hoping to do a better job. :sofahide:

(PS - I was going to take some time off over Christmas)

All white or not, only a muppet wouldn't notice that atrocious cutting around stink pipe and a TWO piece tile around the shower floor drain!
Sorry just really gets me riled!

Its quite common to find sink waste pipes run into the (toilet) soil pipes. Usually its hidden behind boxing-in. This is usually done to save time and money when the room is not by an outer wall. The sink trap holds water that stops the smell from coming through to the plughole.
