Metal -detecting was my hobby as the children grew -up we used to take a flask-of coffee and a picnic and spend hours out in the fresh-air in the country, well sinse they have grown-up i have not bothered ,but this week there has been a tv program on about the different treasures peeps have found !!, and what with the good whether we are having it has inspired me to dust my detector off and do it again,!! do you guys share this hobby?? or another ?

i bought my lad a metal detector a few years ago , but he never got into it, must be a right buzz to find somet though would,nt mind having a go myself , we have a 13th century abbey just down the road from us , could be a good place to start

I have done many hobbies but never this. I wouldnt mind trying but I see the range of detectors vary a lot.
