After digging out the paperwork to tax the van last week..........I noticed that the MOT was due on Monday. :yikes: Poo.

Managed to get it booked in for Saturday morning

Left it at garage and went for big breakfast

Went back an hour or so later......to be told it had failed. :yikes: on wipers and balljoint.
Fair enuff.......its one of them things.
"Can you do it Monday/Tuesday" as I was away on the Sunday till Tuesday night.

Bring it in first thing Monday they said.........so I got a mate to drop it in. Tuesday they managed to do start it...........then they phoned me in Scotland......to tell me that its NOT the balljoint......but the steering rack bearings

:yikes: Cost me £530 :yikes:

Tax van and car (both bloody well due) ............£251
Surprise trip to Scotland for the wifes birthday...£300 :yikes:
Mot and repairs............................................£580

So, all in all and crappy week really.

Now to put my prices up

Poo happens

Yes the joys of motoring...

Its noon Friday and at 2pm today I am booked in with Mercedes a short 5 mile journey away.. And the reason for this unexpected trip to a luxury top end garage?

Yes it seems my life has been in danger and they would like their smart car back "for a little modification" Free of charge of course!

Dear Mr Hazell

and

"...may lead to a loss of steering"

are not the words you want to be reading in your mornings post...

Taking my van (2005 Fiat Scudo 2.0JTD) in first thing Monday.
Service £180
Cambelt kit £230
CV joint £142
MOT £40
Bushes for rear springs £60
All less 10%

An expensive start to the week and hoping they do not fail it on anything else for its MOT. No wonder I do not appear to be making any money!
