mosaic tiles the ones where its a whole tile with the mosaic grooves in it ! got a top floor flat to do is there a way of cutting them without going down 4 flights of stairs to wet or angle grind them ?

They will dry cut, just depends how close to the grooves you need to cut. Sometimes the nibblers are needed.

I've dry cut them once but then again the depth of the groove was minimal

cant get the rubi wheel to fit in the grooves and its a really high end flat where any dust or mess will be a no no think the stairs is the only way

If the grooves accept grout then you can piece them instead of checking out with a wet saw. Usually don't even need scribed - just break them on the groove.

Yeah no scoring needed, just snap if the cut is on the grooves.

Yeah works a treat, normally use my tr60 for them. I think I must have a freak collection of rubi cutters, as I don't seem to have any problems with them :lol:

Didn't mean you Bri, I was asking PRC. I haven't fixed these for a while but my old TS cut them no problem. What is it with you and freaky collections, Rubis....Leather pants......What else???.:lol:

have not tried to break on the groove will give it a go last time i used them was just a feature block so only had 4 cuts witch done with a grinder this time its 6 m2 of splashback i know will have to grind round the sockets but would be nice if i could snap the rest

Some of them dry cut some don't.

If you are cutting down the grout line then don't score just snap.

If they break out then I get a scraper & use the edge to score down the grout line, I find this usually works a treat.

It's not the cutting that is the issue with these tiles, it's making them look seamless!
Usually find you have to use a 1mm peg.
