thinking of doing trades training course in edinburgh!

hi my name is barry im a painter and decorator ive been painting for 18yrs and fancy a wee change in trade! ive been thinking of doing tiling because ive heard you can make good money and it would be a good match for my current skill! does anyone know if the tradestraining course in edinburgh is any good? how long would you reccommend i do the course for? how long would you reccommend working for a tiling company until i build up the experience to worl for myself? thanks
