Hi there, would just like everyone's opinion on the best dry cutters around? Suitable for porcelain as well as ceramics. Cutting lengths around 700 - 750mm. I've used Rubi for years, yet I'm wondering if there's something I may be missing on the market. Look forward to your comments.

Rubies user myself but I tried a sigma at a CTD trade day. what a great cutter I'm thinking about putting all the rubi on ebay. The sigma even cut a travel tile

Same as you always rubi but got first sigma this year.

Please ignore all the comments re. Rubi, bellotta, montolit etc. The only cutter worth considering over 600mm is a Sigma. up to 600mm other designs work well enough, but over 600mm they copy the sigma design now, for one reason - it works!

I think even bellotta are making sigma clones now.

I too used to be a rubi man but ive had a sigma for about a year now and am very happy that ive changed - Ive got the 1metre bed length! Definitely go for sigma

Only a small thing I know, but my only annoyance is that you have to shell out another 55 quid on a case!

They don't need a case! You could drive your van over it, it'd damage the van.

U can buy a case it's about 50 quid I have one just coz it suits me better having a small van u can stack stuff better

Fair enough then. I put shelves in mine for two of my cutters. The 3em - i have to plan for carrying that!

Why not try local hire shop, see what brand cutter they use and hire it for a job then if you don't like it it hasn't cost you loads.

I don't think topps and specialist should ever be used in the same sentence

Buy a Sigma it'll will be the best tiling tool investment that you'll ever make. Very few people on here will argue with that, some people have used Rubis for a lifetime and battle through with them fine with most tiles below 600, but when they try a Sigma there's no more debate.
