Hi guy's,

I'm tiling n a kitchen floor next week and it connects to a dining room that has 8mm laminate down so by the time I ply wood (12mm), addy (4mm) and tile (10mm) there will be a difference in height of about 18mm. The threshold is about 1.8 m long.

Can anyone tell me the best solution for this height problem?

some of the transition trims are okay, you can use hard wood thresholds ,you can get these made up at any joinery company for less than what the transition trims cost

Yep, got mine through my local indepndent supplier, and they were shipped direct from germany. Obviously cost depends on the transition, but even an "adjustable angle" one was only £7.00.

I got a schluter transition for £3.00

this is an incredible price for 1.8m of scluter transition trim ,did you buy a brass or stainless one for this price? it normally comes in 2.5m lengths what size profile was it? i been paying over £20 per for brass transition trim and £30 for stainless
