are those carbite covered files any good.

are there any you can use on floor tiles.

No and No.
But you could use a Carborundum stone or an angle grinder.

I use these with water but not cheap

They are worth having but they really are not much good for anything other than the softest of tiles.

An oil stone works well just aswell..
