Little help needed please, fitting some 200x100 gloss ceramics bevelled edge,brick pattern . How would you finish the edge without using a plastic trim?

A chrome or aluminium trim looks nice or a bead of silicone the same colour as the tiles.

Do you not think that putting a bead of silicone on the cut edge of the tile it would still show a raw edge as the centre of the cut tile will be thicker than the edge

Only other option is to slope the grout away from the edge. These are your 3 options that I can think of.

A metal trim would be more suitable

Or if you can set it out in such a way that the edge falls on a quarter and 3 quarter tile, your cut edges will be of equal thickness.

Thanks that's what I thought, as the customer wants no trim at all, couldn't think of anything else, so thought i'd post on here to see if I could rattle some brain cells...

Agreed but what of the bevelled edge, most of the tile would have a thicker grout slope than the bevelled edge?

New a tiler that would use an enamal paint for edges that were exposed, clean cut though..

also thought of that but not sure if I could soften the cut edge as it would be quite sharp and may flake the glaze

did a job before where the guy wanted the edges mitred as to have no beading etc, brick pattern with a 13 piece smaller brick border......the most time consuming and meticulous thing ive ever done. never offer or agree to do!!!!
