hi guys went to a tile giant near my dads house on friday for some extra tiles to finish a recent job,also purchased 2 tubes of coloured silicone, which i left on the counter,to put the tiles in the car,however a drove half way home and remembered a diddint pick the silicone up,as my dad stays close to it i asked if he could pick them up for me this morning,they told him there was nothing left on the counter and there stock was correct,so dissapointed,any thoughts thanks!:yikes:

I'd have rung them straight away and told them to put them aside for collection.

This is why I use my local independent tile shop...... if I leave anything on the counter (which I have done several times) I would get a phone call saying so. They would bend over backwards to keep me and their other customers happy.

I did something similar at Longhorns, so I went back in and told them that I knew that I'd left a box of screws on the counter, they were sure I hadn't but gave me another box anyway Got to work and found the original box in a bucket I got at the same time

still have receipt m8,al jist go elsewhere in future,nearly 400 pounds spent by the customer in TG for that job albeit a different shop,where customer got materials from.

Id kick up about it as from their point of view its poor business practise to lose a trader over a £10's worth of silicone

you cant get the hump with a nattional company and refuse to use them because you left tubes of silicone on the counter

go back and see them and if that fails contact their head office

no m8 i asked my dad to go in as he is near it,iam a wee bit away,poor business practice i agree,maybe someone else lifted them after all if their stock was right

Hey mate,

If you have the reciept get them to look on the camera as they will know the exact time etc and will be able to check on the security camera.

If they say they cant ask them to get there head office or tech department to do it.

I think they will try and sort the problem for you, you might have got someone on a bad day just ask to speak to the manager.
