Hi All,

Trying to find advise information on what we are trying to achieve.

We want a very modern finish and have decided on ivory/white 600 x 300 (298mm) polished porcelain on the walls in white, with 2 feature walls in the same tile but in black.

We don't want to put the polished porcelain on the floor in case it is too slippery, we found a 300 x 300 tile but when actually measuring they measure at 295 x 295. We are desperately trying to work out a solution where everything will match up without much joy.

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Never even thought about doing it at 45..... but great suggestion and we are looking at it right now

Just wondering...... we want to do the feature wall like this
[White][White][BLK][BLK][White]
[White][White][BLK][BLK][White]
[White][White][BLK][BLK][White]
[White][White][BLK][BLK][White]
Tiles are : 298 x 600
White tiles would be layed horizontally, while the black tiles would be layed vertically.
We've used a whiteboard pen to draw the tiles outlines on over the existing tiles and we have found we need a 4mm space so that the white tiles line up with the black tiles (298 + 4 + 298 = 600). It seems a large space but looking at the actual space seems small.

We are planning to grout the black tiles in grey/black and the white tiles in white.
Does this seem ok? the tiles are completely square without any bevelling.
