Afternoon people... i have a cracked floor tile that i need to get up..whats the best thing to use to get it up?
Also have to re grout the floor as the grout is coming up..what would you use to get the rest up or just grout over it?

The grout is coming up and you have a cracked tile...sounds like a bigger job than you think to me. Grout should not "come up"...there must be a reason and seein as you have a cracked tile i would say there is more to this !

hammer and a blunt chisel / bolster, but as siramic says, if you have cracked tiles and grout issues...it sounds like its all coming up!

what substrate is it?
it sounds like there should have been a flexible grout used and there hasn't,if it's only 1 tile cracked it may be because the grout has became loose if it's more then it will probably need lifted and re-done with suitable adhesives and grouts

the tiler was ment to come back and do it ....i think he didnt use the right grout...its my girlfriends moms bathroom floor...

Good luck getting the grout out without chipping the tiles, it's a mare of a job. What are the tiles, and what size grout line? You can use a grout rake, but i find that you're even more likely to chip the tiles with one (others may get on better with them). A small screwdriver works for me, but it takes a long time... You can't just grout over the existing grout, although you don't really need to get it all out, just aim for over half the thickness of the tile. Good luck with it.

i've just raked out a 16m2 bathroom today with a grout rake,screwdriver and stanley knife and only chipped 1 tile!(sweat was pouring from me) total pain in the *** i will agree but but when re-grouted will look better than it was even though the tiling is a bit sub-standard!

You're a far better man than me.. I chipped 2 Granite tiles trying to get the grout out of a 5/6m floor, and i thought i was being careful. Does make you sweat a bit doesn't it lol! Luckily the customer didn't seem bothered about the chips!?!
