Discuss tile straight to new plasterboard ? in the British & UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.
No, no need to skim. Plastering it will reduce the weight capacity for tiling. Depends on the type of adhesive you are using as to whether it needs priming or not, though it will not hurt to do so. Use an acrylic primer. If primed correctly is it ok to tile on to new plasterboard or do i need to get it plastered first?
I use bal sbr at present (5 lts lasting ages!) dilute to about 3 or 4 to 1which specific primer would you recommend?
