Hi All,
This subject has been covered a few times but I was hoping to get some clarification. I was hoping to fit the first row of tiles around the bath and leave for the adhesive to go off, then tile above as normal. I have got some metal tile trim which will go from the bath edge vertically up to the ceiling.
My question is what is the best way to fit the trim? It will have to go under the first row tile that is initially fitted above the bath so should I fix the whole length of trim to the wall first with adhesive or should I tile the first row then slide the trim under the tile and then try to stick the remaining part of the trim to the wall as I tile the rest of the wall?
Apologies if this is a stupid question?
Also, what would you suggest is the max difference between tile trim and tile thickness. The shop supplied me with 15mm trim and the tiles are about 10mm. I think that this would potentially be too big a difference to get the tiles to sit flush with the trim. I think it's probably too big a gap to fill with adhesive using a standard wall trowel.
