Discuss Tiler/tilers mate looking for work in Bristol in the Tiling Jobs | Find a Tiler - Post Tiling Work Here area at TilersForums.com.

Hi All.

This is probably a bit of a long shot, but I’m wondered if any experienced tilers in the Bristol area are looking to take on a tiler/tilers mate?

I currently work for myself carrying out tiling and general maintenance work, but I want to expand my Tiling knowledge and learn from someone with more experience than myself.

I can tile a basic bathroom/kitchen no problem, but I turn down so much work because im not confident with layouts like herringbone, or expensive tiles that I’ve not work with before.

The experience I want to gain is more important than the wages. Would be much appreciated if anyone has any work or can point me in someone’s direction.

Cheers,
Mike.

looks like good work, so whats your problem?

it’s all just standard ceramic/porcelain work. I don’t have much experience with natural stone, or more complicated layouts. Also want to learn more about prep work and materials. I’m literally self taught, do won’t take on jobs I’m not confident in.

appreciate your comment about the photos though!

I think most of us are self taught, if you have the basics down which it looks like you have
the rest is just doing it and gaining experiance as you go. as for prep work that can be
everything better the prep better the result but always someone on here to advise if needed, have confidence whats the worst that can happen....
