Tiles won't stick

Hi...

I've been trying to tile my bathroom...but the tiles won't stick. It has been tiles before, and all Ive done is take the old ones down and try to re tile the area. Because they wouldnt stick someone suggested priming the area...which I've done, but they still work loose. I need help

What is the substrate you are tiling on?
What adhesive are you using?
What type of tile & size are you using?
What have you primed the wall with?

What is the substrate you are tiling on??? ---> translation, what type of wall is it?? plasterboard? plaster? when you chap it does it sound solid or hollow?

That's rather aggressive Kendo. By the way, it wasn't for your benefit, it was for the guest as HE didn't know what a substrate is, and I know that you do.
