Tiling a window reveal

Hi lads

any help please....

if you are using trim around a window reveal whats the best method????

the window reveal itself is not square. if my trim follows the wall surely it won't look square.

Hi, you need to square the window up with the tiling first.
Find the highest part of the cill and cut all the tiles at that size.
Do the same for both sides and finally find the header at the top.

Bit confused do u mean measure the inside of the reveal and get the biggest measurement, then cut all the tiles the same??

are you talking about a full window or just the cill ?

You need to make it square so if for example cill is lower on left then you make cuts for the right side all along (repetitive cuts) then when they are on you have a square, level edge to put trim onto.

hi lordyt....centre your window wi th your tiling so equal cuts are on both sides going up if possible

make the window square 1st before tiling if possible if its badly out or alternatively buy a suitable cement based adhesive that is ok to bed out slightly to make the window square as oppose to just tiling to the contours of an off wall

Just make sure that you run a straight edge along the cill level tiles, both sides of the vertical and the header. If these run out of true then your trim will potentially lip over the edges which look terrible.
