Hi Jon. I'm in the same boat as you and I visited Ableskills in Dartford yesterday. Seemed very nice people and a nice little set up. I'm going to sign up for a four or six week course in January. This is the nearest one to me, but you have Alpine Tiling who run courses in Rye. Not sure what they're like but there is bound to be some feedback here on the forum. Good luck with whoever you chose.
