tiling firms...

how do I find these? ive looked into it before but was unable to find any in my area... could only find self employed tradesmen and didn't get much luck from them. do any of you guys know any names of the big firms that may possibly take me on? cheers

Go to your local tiling shops and pick up all the cards and also ask them for names of companies in your area.

I may even start calling the ones I have called before n one of them mite see im serious about it and now I have a bit of knowledge about tiling and ive done it before so will help.

If your trying to get in with a company tell them you no nowt, the little you do know wont fly in contract tiling trust me if you go in repeating stuff that you have read here and not done you wont last a day.

you cant bluff your way through , you will get caught out, ive had tilers work under me with so called years of exp but just could'nt cut it
when given a job to do , poor set out no prep knowledge , and basicly no idea

Nah im not lookin to bluff mate as I know if I was to turn up they could deffo catch me out with a couple of pro questions lol... But I do have a bit of knowledge of prep and tiling. Not much at all but its got to count for something and the time I spent workin for nothin should show im determined lol. Cheers mate

Most 'tiling companies' won't be limited companies as such but contractors with 2-10 self employed tilers working to them. Local tile shops would be able to point you in the direction of a few squads.
