Tiling half way up a wall.

Hey If I'm tiling a bathroom full tile around the bath area. Then outside the bath area tiling half way up the room, or to the height that makes it look good around the window sils. Do I need to put tile trim on top of the last row of tiles or do people usualy just grout were the last tile ends? The tiles are just pain white tiles.

Its a personal choice. You could run a bead of tile trim which is standard. You could finish it with a contrast tile or border. Or you could leave it plain.

Ok thanks when you say leave it plain what do you mean by this how do you grout it at an angle?

Most tiles years ago had a glazed edge or at least one exposed edge.. but today they are just the tile biscuit coloured, so at edge exposure like you will have then a trim is an option to finish with or you can just decorate down to it as it is.. all personal choice..

Doing one at the minute, shown customer plastic trim and chrome...Customer does not like either so they are going to paint the top of the tiles the same as the walls...I hate plastic trim...

If push came to shove you could run a bead of white silicone.

Another option is to use a tile with a beveled edge in either the same colour / style as the tiles (like this photo) or use a contrast colour

Ok Thanks I don't think they'll want anything fancy as are just cheap tiles. Can I ask how much a length of plastic white tile trim usualy costs

Also there just white tiles. So is white trim realy the only thing that will look good with them?

Dont use silicone on top of the tiles as this cant be painted.
