Why when you read the jobs section of the paper do you never see any jobs for profesional tilers. You get plumbers, Brick layers, electricians but no tilers.

Very strange ehh.

Just curious:huh2:

They are sometimes advertised on the jobcentreplus website, but normally only temp contracts (sometimes permenant) and normally quite poorly paid, (£10-£15) per m2.

I think alot of people still believe tiling is a laborers job, some company's i know use laborers for tiling with average results. People dont want to pay the money for a professional tiler as most think that its easy and anybody can do it.....Of course we all know different dont we!!

YES!!...We do........makes me laff when peeps say tiling is easy......there is more to tiling that putting tiles on a nice flat wall or floor.........isn't there..?

I had hardly seen an advert for Tilers wanted until i emmigrated to Australia and then i had 10 adverts to choose from.

When they try and convince you there walls are the best there is over the phone, Then turn to look at the job, They don't like a bit of honesty.
