Ok I am re-tiling the kitchen floor due to me not doing it properly first time ! I tiled it approx 18 months ago . Tiled onto a chipboard floating floor no flex adhesive ( yes I am a numpty ) surprisingly the tiles lifted and grout cracked !! . I have lifted all the tiles and cleaned floor then I have taken up the floor drilled plugged and screwed 10mm battens to concrete base floor then screwed floor sheets (22mm)to battens at 250mm centers . I have jumped up and down on floor and its solid no lift or flex. I have 600mm tiles to fix . What adhesive should I use to fix tiles ? Should I use a primer on floor ? I have tried to clean the existing floor the best I can . Was thinking about Mapei flexible . Do I need an admix also . What grout should I use also . Cheers all :) just want to do the best job I can

Exsisting floor? You've replaced the floor haven't you?
the chipboard is only 18 months old and is sound. it was all glued when laid i know cos i laid it.i have cut out 3x peices 8x4 and battened then screwed the sheets through battens into plugs in concrete floor. floor is now solid as it should be having 162 screws through it .

So your reusing the old chipboard from before? Why not replace it with new ply? The floor your relaying has already failled.
