on another note - how do i get rid of this advert every time i post

cheers
I may be wrong but I think the adverts only show on the first and last post in each thread. So if you start a thread, you will see the advert and every time you post a reply you will see the ad. At least it should be a smaller version.....I think!

I found after doing my course, I had been told so many incorrect things while on the course, it was unreal.

Then I really got most of my knowledge from here.

Best thing about this forum is that it isn't biased on any level.

Every single question\problem you may ever have that you could want explaining on how to do it or get round a problem, there will always be unpteen people on here that have done it a thousand times, and since you have so many tilers on here, you'll find they have often got round problems different ways, and they will all put their view forward, giving you 2 or 3 different ways you can do something that you know will work, and then you can find your own prefered way.

So whatever you may need to know, ask away on here, and generally it'll be a race to see if anyone else can answer it first before Gaz and Dave

Hello from Geramny. As our tiler have to follow the german DIN 18157 (sinply translated: Practice of tile works with ceramic tiles by using cement based thin set adhesives") the UK has the British Standard BS 5385: part 3 "Code of Practice for the Design and Installation of Ceramic Floor Tiles and Mosaics". I think, this is your bible you have to get. Cheers, Martin

Oh...and of course this brilliant forum!
