Tiling marble onto paramount board

I quoted a job a few weeks ago and noticed its paramount board wall with another sheet nailed on top..I told the lady to only get ceramic because of the weight issue...and that fixing Hardi everywhere using cavity fixings will up the price...she's on a budget .she now says she has bought marble tiles...! No way can I fix these floor to ceiling on paramount board right..

How do you guys fit hardi to drywall..or paramount for that matter...I thought of the drywall fixings...the ones where you use the racket gun to spread the fixing...but the head of the screw is too proud..unless I just use an 8mm float but putting more weight on...gulp !

Some times you can remove the skin and frame and re-board. Then you do not disturb the skin the other side.

Otherwise 4mm marmox and expanding hollows

Mmm not tried the Marmox...saw that the other day in ctd and the expanding hollows..will look into it at weekend...cheers

I think it's only on the shower ensuite they have done this so yea rip off and Marmox it in there..

Bare plasterboard will take that weight....

thankfully its not used anymore..it was 2 sheets of plasterboard with a honeycomb centre..like a sandwich board..no stud..it was a cheaper way of dry lining..now its metal stud and dry lining now..

It was very fast track work with paramount....
