Tiling newly skimmed plaster

Hi does newly skimmed plaster need to be primed before tiling?

Some of the tubbed adhesive say no but read the instructions, cement based addy does need priming.

Thanks so I'll follow what it says on the tube. Do they usually tell you what to prime with or is there a standard primer?

It will say on the tubs which primer to use if any and im 99:9% sure they will tell you only to use there's , imo thats because they then make two sales instead of one and I have never had a problem where I have used a different manufacturers products, the problem there is that if you dont use theres your guarantee on the product will be void, check with your tile shop also
