Tiling on chipboard floor

Got a bathroom coming up, existing floor tiles on chipboard floor hoping they will come up easily, ajoining room has laminate floor, so if possible I want to avoid a step, I have allways used 12m/m ply overly on all my floors but this will create a step, anyone used this flexible two part tile on wood stuff straight on to chipboard? and is it ok? Thanks

ive tiled onto chipboard before with a good mapie flexi addy (wouldnt recommend it though) dont thick sticking tiles to its much of an issue but if the chipboard gets wet it will crumble were the ply wont!

Use 6mm hardie backer screwed and glued.

Think i'll give the hardibacker a try, what adhesive do you use to glue it down?

Make sure the floor is solid though, it doesn't add strength!
