tiling on paint

hi guys, whats your info on tiling on painted walls. what i do is score the wall alot with knife then scrape of any flaky or loose paint, prime and then tile. there is times all the paint will come of with a soak and a scrape, but at times it wont, and the amount of efford trying to remove the paint, ends up pulling the plaster off. so if its bonded that much, i just tile on to it. ive done this for years and it works well i think,,,,,,, any info ??

well my advice would be to remove it completely ,or you have other options, like to overboard with plasterboard,tile-backer,cement board, you could hack-off the plaster and re-do with render if a solid wall.
don't tile on to the painted wall though as the tile adhesion is only as good as what is on the wall already !! and paint lets face it is not good,
