Tiling on skimmed

How long do I leave it before I can tile on to the skimmed plaster.l skimmed it early Sunday morning.can anybody give me any tips on how to hold the tiles in place when I have removed the batton an start tiling my rows underneath.

How many rows of tiles underneath do you have to fit after removing your batton....

About 3 rows when im coming off the bath to go behind the toilet an radiator.

If your using a decent adhesive the tiles will hang on the bed of adhesive, hang enough at least to get the tiles beneath them fixed, are you doing standard set, if so go in columns instead of rows, that way you have only got two full and one cut to get in place.

Why not wait until the ones on the batten have gone off. Remote the batten and tile down?

LOL, obvious, but I just assumed ( I know ) that the OP would have done this that's why I said as you......almost.

I have waited for them to go off then removed batton.yes tile downI in columns then put mi spacer between floor an last tile..easy when ya thonk about it...doh.thanks

With a good addy your tiles shouldn't slip when laid.
Weber recommend leaving the plaster to go off in a naturally dried room for 4 weeks.
