Tiling onto marble

Been asked to do a job in tenerife but there is already marble tiles on the floor of the apartment.
What prep work needs to be done (ie score surface/prime?)
what adhesive should be used (rapid set flexible ?)
what grout should be used (flexible?)

customer is reluctant to lift marble due to the kitchen just been installed, if marble is fixed well then i see no reason to lift this and treat it like any other tiled floor.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

I would be inclined to lift it. At least then you can sort out the subfloor if it's needed and you know your doing it properly.

I'd tile over it - if the floor lifts, you have an excuse to go out to Tenerife to rectify it. :hurray:
