tiling outside

im starting a new job tommorrow which is an outside concrete path i am tiling it with slate do i need to seal the floor before i lay them cause there is some pit holes in the concrete and obviously its dusty any advice would be welcome thanks

You need to check temperatures is ok, I have a step to cover with granite on Monday and if cold I ain't going.
A good s2 grade flexi adhesive helps too.
Brush and prime the area well and a decoupled might do wonders too.

below 5 degres and the addy wont set, sods law as soon as you start it will begin to rain, i try to put outside work off till the weathers more reliable......good luck with it.

Thanks for the help the only reason Im doing it is the job I had booked in there's a delay on the tiles by 2 weeks so hope the weather is ok thanks again

If it's a long thin concrete path I would allow for some control joints.
