Hello all, ive got a job 16m2 bathroom 2 solid walls other 2 plasterboard around airing cupboard and other wall leading to bedroom is compressed cardboard type of wall like a honeycombe plasterboard. i dont want to take off tiles because it could create more work for me and money for customer. Here is the problem i have never tiled over tiles before could people please give me any advice at all about this, is it easy , are there going to be meny problems? what about window trims do i take them off first or go straight over ..please please help needed ..cheers people:yes:

The plasterboard your talking about is paramount with eggy box sandwiched between two sheets of board, Make sure the tiles are solid and give them a good clean I like to rough up the high gloss ones. I would check that around the window your not building to high and losing to much of the window surround.

cheers for the reply, yep i looked at the window seem to be ok on that one, would you remove the old trims around window and corners or just tile straight over

Check door architrave. Does the thickness of the new tile & adhesive come past the architrave?

Check radiators. Can you get the new tile behind it/them?

Check windowframe. Can you still open/close window when the new tiles are fitted?

Cheers
Sean
