Just quoted for and got job to tile 16m2 conservatory floor and 4m2 (10 steps) internal which lead down into a granny flat.
Staircase is quite new and seems pretty solid but just looking for some advise on how to go about it eg plyboarding
the conservatory and stairs are chipboard and the stairs currently have vinyl tiles stuck down which i will be removing
any help kindly received!!!

I would over ply and tile using flexi adhesive....but on the stairs i would use fastflex for added security..I would also consider putting non-slip nosing treads on the steps as well...have a look at the schluter ones ..... http://www.schluter.co.uk/140.aspx

the customer has already ordered the ceramic tiles and has also been sold a tread in the same colour to suit. thanks for the advise on the adhesive though.
so no need to ply the stairs first then?

soz mate.. not clear enough....yes! over ply stairs as well....you might want to build out the riser face so it is square with the tread....that's if they are bullnosed profiled......
