tiling straight onto block wall

Hi just started another bathroom refurb today 2 walls are stud and are gonna be boarded with hardie but 2 walls ane block work and are very flat. Can i not tile straight onto block work tiles are trav 600x400 would save me some pennies i'm thinking it would be better what do you guys think ive never done it before.

i don't see why not mate,prime it 1st then off you go.
i suppose its only like they used to do 'int tholdern days' ,where men were men and sheep were scared,render and throw tiles ont wall

yea strait onto it if walls are good ,powdered adhesive no problems

I always give block work a heavy prime then a quick skim of rapid set.
This stops the moisture from the following adhesive being sucked out too quickly.

Yes no probs , as above skim the wall with adhesive first ..
