Tiling to concrete

Hi All,

Looking to tile my hallway with large format (30 x 60 cm) porcelain tiles. The plan is to stagger the tile and use a 2mm grout gap.

The floor is concrete, and I would like to get an idea of what prep I should carry our before tiling. It's a modern house (1996).

If the floor is reasonably level and not cracked is it possible to tile direct? Do I need to seal it?

hi there you can seal the floor if you wish but no need to as long as you make sure the concrete is not dusty at all, a 3mm joint would look good and if you are doing the job yourself only mix small amount of adhesive as in this weather the rapid set will be even more rapid,may be use slow set as long as you can get to the places you need to ,good luck
