i'am going with LTP colour intensifier & stainblock i don't get involved with this part of the trade very often, so how would you appiey-it for best results please

Use a paint pad, gives good coverage . Wait required amount of time then buff off.

I use a mop but one with a flat sponge on it. There about £8 from tescos. Work very well for applying sealer as the application is very even.

pad or roller for me,both equally as good,i like the roller though,it always brings back memory's of art lesson as school,used to love art,blinking only thing i was good at mind

Painting pad works well but be sure to remove any excess before it starts to dry on the surface with a towel after it has had time to sink in. Sealers should not sit on top of stone.

For top protection then a coat of mattstone after colour enhancer has dried.

Interesting couple of questions why would you want to put mattstone on top? Secondly if you did that would be interested on LTP thoughts on doing so? in the way would they endorse it?

Because LTP say you can.. info gained on LTP training day.. one coat of enhancer and then a coat of mattstone... if a few coats of enhancer used then do not use mattstone..

I think it was to do with giving full protection if the stone was not saturated with sealer.. but i agree that if colour enhancer was used then stick with it to the point the stone is fully sealed but also if a customer doesn't want a stone too dark as extra coats of enhancer can do this then to give fuller protection then mattstone can be used.

Just to add Dave, make sure you do not let excess enhancer dry on the stone surface, it will be difficult to remove once hardened.

Always buff off before it drys

i have to admit they did not mention any other products to me on the phone, just a few coats of this .
and you would have thought a company would want to sell as much as poss.

A few coats yes.. perfect.. i should have said in my first post, that using mattstone was with min enhancer used// as a coat of each . so stick with the enhancer to save your self confusion

just an update, i when to the local hardware store today to look for a paint pad as advised, i love this store, real old place,an Aladdin's cave of interesting stuff ,you could buy lots of kit in there, anyway i went for the cheap option £2.50 ,instead of £9.00,just a through-away pad, i also bought a breathing mask with a layer of active charcoal for the fumes that come of it :yikes: , i have now applied two coats to the wall's then two coats to the floor, and i cant help thinking i have been sold a tin of diesel as this is what it smells like to me :lol: £ 90.00 for 5ltrs ,and i still have about 4.5 ltrs left :yikes: what's it like with ginger ale + ice no i will seal it all a few more times as its my -own wet-room ,DAM THE EXPENS !!

Sounds like your buying it from the wrong place. Also watch the cheap pads the hairs tend to drop of them!

Direct from LTP -on line , no hair loss from the pad, just my head :lol: , i have used this before on a pool in cheshire marble mosaic against my advice, and i applied it with cloth, white big thick mosaics cost a fortune i odour wears off
it has stunk the whole house -out

One off the lads dropped a tin in the unit the other day it split said he would clean it up hour later he did! Well I was a happy chap for a couple of days.

well i gave it two coats before grouting ,and i have just given it another all over grout as well, then i will give it one more making four coats in all this should be enough!,for now

Jesus four coats that a hell of a lot make sure you don't over do it! Or you trying to get it to the dark side as possible :45:
