To add a Negative or Positive pump? Same level as tank but shower Discussion Thread

Hi,
Had a bathroom renovation done, new shower & bath.
Unfortunately the new shower with narrow pipes & joints, splitter tap for fixed head & removeable etc. does not have the same flow rate as the old, actually now fixed head unusable, dripples & removable barely better but can be used. Use to be direct down the wall gravity fed. Parents house, don't think pressure ever great but worked OK.

The plumbers will come back & add a pump, however they are saying can be a positive pump but I am not so sure.

Cold tank would be the same level as the pump, right next to it.
From what I read needs 600mm drop at least & don't see a way round this.
No room under shower or bath & image that would not work anyway plumbing wise.

I know as per diagram not normal, I think the shower below is fed direct from the tank, don't think easy to route it downstairs & the n back up & over
Hence why I thought about the pump next to the tank as very easy access & plumbing

Would not mind but assuming boost hot & cold & negative/universal pumps are so much more expensive.

I have one in my house, needs to pump upstairs so is negative but they just don't seem to last either. I have a stuart & turner but on my 3rd in 12'ish years & works out very expensive.

Would like to make unvented but large house, pluming all over the place & think a v.big job.
