Discuss Travertine not good with underfloor heat mats? in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

I've just been told by my customer that he's been advised against using electric underfloor heating mats with travertine by a tile shop. They said the heat would degrade the stone. I've not heard this before & have done the job without any problems before.
Anyone have any views on this?

Sounds like someone sells a low grade trav and gives poor advice to customers:prrr:
