SP Tiling Plc

ive been given two bathrooms to tile by a friend who said it was ceramics on walls, when i spoke direct to customer the tiles are travertine non sealed.
just after a bit of advice.... its th first time ive been asked to put travertine on the walls so normaly id seal them first as natural stone plus what adhesive do you lads use? i would have normaly used cement based or could you get away with tub?
