I've been asked to price a bathroom in a 1920's house, where the outer wall tapers in from approx half way up by about 20 to 30 degrees, due to roof line.

The customer wants all the walls tiled (managed to talk him out of the ceiling), plus 2 glass mosaic borders :mad2:.
I plan to finish the top border along the "crease" line so that I don't have to bend a tile in half, but I am sure I am correct in saying that the horizontal grout lines will not flow all the way round the room, due to the tiles sloping in on the outer wall.

I'm curious as to how you guys would address this and whether there are any tips or advice that you can offer, please?

:lol:captain slow, can you show me how to bend a tile please...are these pilkingtons?

The wall concerned, cant you reboard with hardiebacker and get the wall level?

ROFL Brian,

I can't reboard as the wall incorporates a gable window and from straight wall to ceiling is almost 1 metre.

rofl?
can you draw a sketch as obviously i dont understand.

from the crease up is that where the 30mm overlap starts?

(Tile bending) Roll On Floor Laughing Brian :lol:.

Yeah, from the "crease" the wall starts to taper in, as in a roof joist (I hope this makes sense). So the tiles on the flat walls will sit, say 250mm, high but the true height of the tiles on the sloping wall will be approx 245mm so the grout lines will all run out.

Any ideas, tips???
