I use them straight cuts but cuting angles are a pain, they squash the trim then cut so you never get quite the angle you want, you can support the trim slightly as you cut but it's a faf so quicker to use a mitre box. The cutters were I believe taken from the double glazing industry for cutting solid trims but don't seem to work with tile trims as well
