Tumbled Travertine for my hallway

Has anyone used the TG roman opus mix or have a picture of some work with it?

I'm also considering UTH with it - how compatable is it ?

UFH will be fine with travertine and I'm sure theres loads of pictures of opus trav in the gallery

If using UFH i would be using an Uncoupling membrane such as Ditra or Dural myself.

The UFH will be on concrete base downstairs - Are you suggesting the ditra for insulation?

Personally, I would fix some insulation boards first, then UFH, then SLC, then a decoupler, then tiles. However, you are talking about a small floor area so the decoupler is not as critical as it would be if you were working on a large floor area.

Don't forget to work out where the pan etc will be so that you don't end up putting the mat under it.

I always try and use an uncoupling membrane when working with stone and UFH. Just my way.

I was working with Dave last week and he was talking about his downstairs loo as well as hallway, so I just jumped to conclusions.

Yep you got it , tiling right through and plan to stop well short of the pan . .. well maybe close enough for warm feet
