UHF mat installation question

Hi

A couple of questions on UFH installation:

1) I'm planning to install in on ply.. do I still need to use SLC? Is SLC only neccessary if the base is not levelled?

2) The electrical supply for UHF matting, does it come from main ring spur?

3) Can I first install the UFH and do the tiling and then only get an electrician over to fix in the thermostat?

4) Is there anything in particular which I need to aware to ensure that installation can be done easily?

what is the ply covering, how thick is the ply?
I let the Electrician do all the wiring, get him in first because the kit needs to be tested prior to fitting as does the probe.
Slc protects the wires from getting damaged,
Fibre enhanced slc would be a good choice as you are on ply, mapei from tile giant would be my choice.

What are you putting down, porcelain, stone etc.

ply in first layer directy on top of joist (upstais bathroom). Putting a 25 mm thick layer. Putting down ceramic tiles.

So I'll have to first lay fiber enhace slc followed by flexible adhesive? How ling do I wait between the 2 compound?

Even though its 25mm thick, make sure there is no deflection on the ply, extra noggins would be a good idea.
As for the time spent between laying slc and then tiling all manufactures have different criteria, you will find everything you need on the bag
