uneven floor what would u do?

Hi,

Im doing a kitchen floor around 13sqm at the back door to the other door there is about a 20mm difference.

would you follow the floor or make sure its totally spirt level flush which would mean the tiles would have a 20mm raise at the door?

for the best finish you would have to level it paul so that you get a consistant spread of adhesive. webber floor flex is capable of levelling to 50mm.

So long as it doesn't impact on anything else in the room, such as the plinths and cupboards, I would level it. There is also the option of having it flat but not level, this is something you need to discuss with your customer. A 20mm deviance over that area would hardly be noticeable anyway.

Thanks for the replys,

i ran a laser over it and it was more like 60mm if i levelled it i would need to cut 80mm of the door lol,
i discussed this with the customer and she was happy with laying flat but not level

Flat is fine. Levelling can cause all sorts of problems if it isn't rally necessary, especially if skirts are not being removed or there are transitions to other rooms.
