Unusual tips

Yesterday I got some freshly picked strawberries as a tip.
Today (from a different customer) I got strawberries and Rhubarb. Is this usual in the tiling world to get such unusual tips? I now have to go and buy some pastry mix to make a pie. In fact I now have enough rhubarb for about 6 pies. I must admit that I really love rhubarb I got some in Tesco a couple of weeks ago @ 70p a stalk. I must have got about £12 worth of the stuff today (so not such a bad tip after all). Cheers Sean

three times when i've been working in maryhill(glasgow) i've had a dozen cans of tennents lager for a tip,i think they use it as a form of currency up there lol:lol:,also a women once gave me 2 carrier bags of dog food and treats when i mentioned my mate had just bought a pup

I can confirm that tennents is the defacto currency in Maryhill 1.25 cans to the euro :lol::lol::lol:, in Bishopton it seems to be the home baked fruit loaf:drool5::drool5:

Haha! An old fella, just a couple of months ago gave me a really nice Forsythia (a bush) and a tomato plant cutting, both of which are doing really well, and to be honest it is the best tip ever. :8:

I would love fresh rhubarb and strawberries as a tip!

Mentioned to a customer a few weeks ago that I needed to pop in the Wilco near her house to buy some more runner bean seeds as I was about a dozen short for my canes. She came back from the local market with two stirps of 10 plants and wouldn't let me pay for them.

Just remembered this today and ties in quite nicely with doit4u's post. I once got a 'courgette', for a tip, but it was a big one!! lol

Got paid £30 extra the other day as the customer thought it was such a nice job... can't complain, but them rhubarb sounds great! From the garden? Tesco can't compete with that - their rhubarb are usually very green and needs more sugar in the crumble/pie.
