Quoted a job three weeks ago part of which was an insurance claim. Sent him two quotes last thursday one for the full amount and one for the insurance company. He's rung me this morning to say he just received a cheque in the post payable to me from the insurance company. That's got to be a record for me. :hurray:The last insurance job I did it I asked for 50% up front which they paid but it took them 9 more weeks to pay out the balance:furious3:

Anyone else had any dealings with insurance companies?

Normally the customer sorts out the money for insurance and then they get paid but when dealing direct they been quite fast and never really had any problems, Some have even not bothered to look at the damage and said go ahead up to a certain price.

I always deal with the costumer and not directly with the Insurance.
Also, I charge £30 for the written Estimate.

Insurance work is a nightmare sometimes.
