Fitting large items like waste pipes and fans through tiles
And achieving an elegant finish. IE not a ragged hole !
Method 1: Using a hand drill
Best material to use for a template is plasterboard. (Yes really)
Score the top paper with a knife round the drill bit.
Drill will "bite" into the exposed plaster and form its own hole.
Much easier than using solid wood and a jigsaw....
Poke out circle of plaster board. Your template is done in less than a minute!
Put template onto tile. Secure in place. Stand on it. Bricks. Get a mate to hold it. Tape it. Etc
Look its working.
Remove plasterboard to reveal a neat but dusty hole is forming. Discard the guide.
Add a splash of water. Outside hosepipes are fine.
Drill slowly. Use water. Dont rush. Dont add pressure. Hole forms nicely.
DO NOT USE DRILLS TO CUT INTO CHIPBOARD - THEY WILL BLUNT - WE WERE JUST SHOWING OFF !
A sandwich of tile and chipboard .The hole is perfect. Impressed?
YOUR customers will be looking at this workmanship for many years to come.
Its a signature of the quality of your work.
And so easy to do as well. A bit of plasterboard. A bit of skill. Some time spent going slowly. And nice work as a result.

Well the ARMEG ones at Screwfix Direct are £169.99 each.

Screwfix crowns are here

And ours are £39.99.

Armeg crowns last longer and cost more. But ours are aimed at the mid-market for those who dont need such long lasting bit of kit.

C'mon £39.99 is cheap !
