wall broken bond

Hi there just wondering how much of a diffrence there is on doing broken bond tiling on a wall rather than just the normal way.i take it if the wall is all over the place it will be a lot harder to tile the broken bond way?whats the best way to tile it broken bond.

Make sure your wall is flat 1st. Preparation is the key and the bigger the tiles the worse it can be. Charge accordingly for extra time takean.

Remember when setting out on the horizontal you will have 2 different cuts on alternate rows. Check both and adjust as necessary to eliminate slither cuts.

Also when setting out brickbond, I always think it looks best if the "bricks" follow round the room, as in the "bricks" turn the corners.

Perfect sense mate. As in big cut after small cut and small cut after big cut when 'turning the corner'

Good stuff lads,proper way is to continue or wrap the tiles around corners!
usually it works a treat although sometimes you have to adjust for basin features etc.

had one today,no price given as i'v done work before for him and family.
350 i asked for ,got 300 not happy at all! things are gonna change for my tidy work!! had another last week that done me out of 20 quid,not much but it may as well hve been 100 !!!

ask for what you are worth Joe,i have seen your work and you are worth a lot more than you are getting paid for buddy.I was asked to fix a job for a builder last week,he got a tiler of near on 30 yrs to do a floor 60m2 and what a mess..i initially said yes i would fix it..then after a rethink i siad why give myself the hassle..i called and declined the work and told them to get the original tiler back to rectify but the architect doesnt want him near the job.WHAT A MESS IT WAS....call me first next time m8.:smilewinkgrin:
